How to Focus Freely with FocalPoint

Photoshop users are always looking for new ways to work faster, smarter, and leaner. Here are some easy ways to quickly focus and blur your image.
FocalPoint allows you to focus on an area of the photo and then let the FocalPoint algorithm try to keep it in focus, or selectively blur out areas you don’t want focused. Let’s get started!
Step 1
Let’s start with a photo of the Eiffel Tower.
Step 2
Here is a 1:1 crop of the focus area

If we select the FocusBug tool (the blue square in the bottom left corner), we get a new tool panel. At the bottom of the FocusBug panel is a Focus Bug button.
Step 4
Click that to open the FocusBug tool.
Step 5
Focus on the Eiffel Tower to keep it in focus. If you like, you can move the FocusBug to move the point of focus.
Step 6
We can move our point of focus by clicking and dragging with the mouse.
Step 7
After we are done focusing, let’s blur out the Eiffel Tower so that we can see the Notre Dame and Seine in the background.
Step 8
With the FocusBug tool selected, click and hold the Control key on your keyboard.
Step 9
Move the FocusBug around to blur out the portion of the eea19f52d2
